L. Dæhnfeldt have some of the best spinach varieties in the world.
As a result of intensive breeding, we offer our customers a large range of varieties for industry, fresh market and baby leaf.
In the world of spinach there is always something to do. First of all, the Downy Mildew problem, which always demands full attention, as new races develop and the existing races mutate. Today, resistant to races 1-8 covers most parts of the world, but new races are causing problems, especially in intensive production areas.
But also other issues are important. Due to developments around the world, demands for varieties suiting special harvest methods, new product presentations in supermarkets and new types like Reddy F1 and Bordeaux F1 with red veins are increasing. Altogether an innovative market in which L. Dæhnfeldt A/S is and will be an important factor.
